Sound for Images – A Curatorial Vision
Sound for Images is a cultural project that explores the relationship between visual art and original music as a single, extended form of authorship. Sound is not conceived as an accessory, but as an integral dimension of the artwork, capable of shaping perception, memory, and emotional depth.

A Synesthetic Approach
Every image contains a latent sound. Our work consists in listening to it, composing it, and giving it form.
Sound for Images develops synesthetic experiences in which visual form, musical composition, and poetic structure coexist in a deliberate and coherent dialogue.
The artwork is no longer confined to the visual field alone. It becomes a space that can be inhabited through sound.
Art, Prompt, and Contemporary Authorship
The history of art is not static. It is a living archive, continuously reactivated by new tools, languages, and responsibilities.
Within this perspective, prompt-based visual creation and artificial intelligence are not treated as ends in themselves, but as cultural instruments.
Authors, sounds, and algorithms participate in a critical co-authorship that interrogates the future of artistic creation, the role of memory, and the responsibility of preservation.

Permanence as a Cultural Choice
In a time dominated by temporary platforms and disposable digital content, permanence becomes a cultural position.
Sound for Images makes a precise choice: to guarantee the long-term availability of musical works associated with visual art.
This responsibility is assumed through proprietary servers, direct infrastructure management, and stable, controlled hosting over time.
Permanence is not a technical detail. It is an ethical and cultural commitment.
L’ARTE PROMPTICA – A Foundational Project
L’ARTE PROMPTICA – Introduction to Prompt Art represents the first complete realization of the Sound for Images vision.
The book is composed of 100 visual artworks and 100 original musical compositions, each accessed through a dedicated QR code connected to proprietary servers.
Each image activates a sound that extends the artwork beyond the printed page and into time.
An Open, Scalable Project
Sound for Images is conceived as an open curatorial platform. While rooted in the authorship of composer and poet Luca Bonaffini, the project is designed to engage artists, galleries, publishers, and cultural institutions.
The project is grounded in an Italian cultural context active since 2002, where Made in Italy signifies responsibility, durability, and long-term cultural accountability.
