FOR ARTISTS & GALLERIES
Extending Visual Art Through Sound
Sound for Images is addressed to artists, galleries, curators, and cultural institutions who consider sound an integral component of contemporary artistic language.
The project is conceived for those who seek to extend visual art beyond the limits of the printed image, the exhibition space, or the temporary digital platform.

What the Project Offers
Sound for Images develops original musical compositions conceived as an extension of the artwork itself.
Each project is approached as a curatorial collaboration, grounded in authorship, responsibility, and long-term continuity.
Music is not added as a decorative layer. It becomes part of the artwork’s identity.
Why Sound for Images
Most digital solutions are temporary. Most platforms are not designed to assume responsibility over time.
Sound for Images makes a different choice. Musical works are hosted on proprietary servers and remain accessible independently from commercial platforms or changing technologies.
This choice reflects a cultural position rather than a technical one. Permanence is treated as a value.

Who This Is For
Sound for Images is suitable for:
- visual artists working on books, series, or individual works
- galleries seeking to extend exhibitions through sound
- publishers interested in long-form artistic projects
- institutions and foundations exploring synesthetic experiences
The project is not conceived as a mass service. Each collaboration is evaluated individually.

From a Foundational Project
The foundational project L’ARTE PROMPTICA demonstrates how Sound for Images operates in practice.
In this work, 100 visual artworks are paired with 100 original musical compositions, each accessed through permanent QR codes connected to proprietary servers.
The project establishes a model based on continuity, authorship, and long-term cultural responsibility.
How Collaborations Begin
Every collaboration begins with a conversation. The nature of the artwork, the context of presentation, and the intended duration are considered carefully.
Sound for Images operates as a curatorial project, not as an automated service.
Rooted in an Italian cultural context active since 2002, the project reflects a commitment to responsibility, continuity, and long-term presence.
